Vehicle lettering removal
Unique service: Starting from 199.99$
Added during another package purchase: 100$/hour
The time required for the work varies depending on the quantity of material, its age, its condition, and the complexity of the removal. For large jobs, an assessment is recommended before starting.
Professional removal of lettering, stickers, vinyl and films
We remove various types of stickers, lettering, and films applied to vehicles, including:
- commercial lettering;
- stickers;
- dealer labels;
- vinyl film (wrap);
- Thumbnail;
- model or option badges.
Vinyl is the material we remove most often. The time required depends mainly on the amount to be removed, its condition, and how many years it has been installed.
How does the lettering removal process work?
The work is generally done in three stages:
1. Removal of the vinyl, sticker or patch
The material is removed using appropriate methods to minimize risks to the surface.
2. Removal of glue residue
Any remaining adhesive is then removed using appropriate products and techniques.
3. Cleaning and polishing the area
When necessary, we polish the surface to reduce the difference in appearance between the area that was covered and the surrounding paint.
On an older vehicle, the paintwork protected under a sticker or lettering may sometimes have faded less than the rest of the panel. Polishing can reduce this difference, but it's not always possible to eliminate it completely.

How long does it take?
The time required varies greatly depending on the vehicle and the work to be done.
For a small label, sticker or patch, you should generally budget approximately 20 to 30 minutes per item.
For a fully lettered commercial vehicle, a large wrap can take several hours.
What you need to know before withdrawal
In most cases, lettering removal can be carried out without damaging paintwork in good condition.
However, some conditions only become visible after withdrawal:
- paintwork already damaged before installation;
- Paintwork that is fragile or poorly repaired;
- corrosion under the vinyl;
- significant color difference caused by aging;
- old adhesive that has become particularly difficult to remove.
If the metal under the paint is rusty or if the paint was already peeling off, there is a risk that the paint will lift during removal.
